FileCodec is a **serverless** utility suite. This means every transformation, conversion, and edit happens entirely within your browser's memory. When you select a file, it is NOT uploaded to our servers; it is read locally by your computer.

No Data Collection

We do not store, view, or harvest your files, metadata, or personal information. Since files are processed locally, we physically cannot see the content of your documents or media.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal local storage purely to remember your user interface preferences (such as Dark Mode). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that profile your behavior.

External Libraries

Some tools utilize industry-standard open-source libraries (like PDF.js or Tesseract.js) loaded via high-availability Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). These libraries execute locally in your browser and do not transmit data to external sources.
